An Empirical Study On The Low Carbon Effects Of Aluminum Production In China

With the rapid development of China’s aluminum industry, its impact on the environment is paid more and more attention in recent years and has become the focus of academic attention. With the growing importance of environmental issues, the aluminum industry in the development process has taken many measures to promote low-carbon production of aluminum, making the low-carbon production of aluminum has been significant progress. So, what factors in promoting low-carbon aluminum production plays an important role? This article is based on this consideration, producing the effect of a low carbon aluminum empirical research. Basic Law of the healthy development of the aluminum industry is not only crucial for development of aluminum industry sustainability, but also significant for the sustainable development of the whole China’s economy.Based on the analysis of the status of China’s aluminum industry and research results of domestic and foreign scholars, we proposed four basic assumptions, that technological innovation, production scale, production costs, the industrial structure are the main factors influencing the effect of low-carbon production of aluminum. The empirical analysis confirms that the effects of innovation, production scale, cost, industrial structure do exist. We further propose an index to measure the effects and obtain that effects of production scale and industrial structure play a greater role in the realization of a low carbon aluminum production process.
