Other resources always depend on the land resources and the development of the city must be established on the basis of certain land resources supply. Along with the further improvement of the level of industrialization and urbanization in Wuhan, the city boundary rapidly expanded and the interference of city activities often produce an effect on the agricultural land use in city outskirts, such as suburban agricultural land use structure will meet the demand of city’s direction, or strengthening trend of agricultural land transferring into non-agricultural land. As agricultural land use is such an important aspect of the land use, the contradiction between human and land become more apparent. How to adjust the agricultural structure so that people can achieve maximum benefits in agriculture and how to balance the demand of construction land and production of the cultivated land quantity in the process of agricultural land use, in order to solve such problems we need to investigate and analyze the agricultural land use status deeply.Gini coefficient is an important indicator to measure the degree of fair income distribution, which can be a reference to the regional difference of land use benefit quantitative analysis. In order to compare the regional differences of land use benefit, taking the agricultural land from Jiangxia district, Dongxihu, Caidian district, Xinzhou, Han’nan district, Huangpi district in Wuhan as objects of study, by using the results of cultivated land quality level investigation and evaluation of Hubei province, their natural quality gini coefficient, land use gini coefficient and economy gini coefficient were calculated respectively in this paper. Research results were as follows:(1) The natural quality gini coefficient of suburban farmland was between0.2770and0.04077, The minimum difference of natural quality was found in Xinzhou district while the maximum in Caidian district.(2) The land use gini coefficient of suburban farmland was between0.02257and0.05894. The minimum difference of land use was found in Han’nan district while the biggest difference happened in Caidian district.(3) The economic gini coefficient of suburban farmland was between0.03593and0.07502. The minimum difference of economic level was found in Huangpi district while the maximum difference was observed in Jiangxia district. (4) The single sample t-test results of SPSS output showed that Han’nan district was the only district whose Sig. value is greater than0.05. That indicated that the use of its farmland is not balanced. Farmland in Huangpi district behaved best.In summary, Wuhan suburban agricultural land use efficiency difference was not that obvious among6suburban districts. The possibility of farmland over-use may exist in Han’nan district. Farmers’ farming income was regional non equilibrium and manual input and utilization level had great influence to the economic output of farmland. Finally, with contacting district land use structure, the actual land quantity and characteristics of agricultural land use, development proposals were given as followings:1)adjust arable land reasonably and strengthen the protection of basic farmland2)optimize the layout of agricultural land3) arrange and plan the other agricultural land as a whole.
