Analysis Of Relationship Between High-tech Industry And Economic Development In Gansu Province

The development of high technology industry level affects thegrowth and development of local economy directly. In nearly a decade,thedevelopmentof China’s high technology industry is fast and hightechnology industry development strength has strong competitiveness inthe international and the innovation ability tend to be world class.Nowadays, strategic emerging industry is emerging, but its developmentis in beginning stage and industry development is not mature.Thestrategic emerging industry is development and extension of hightechnology industry. So research on high technology industrydevelopment regularity can be more valuable experience for strategicemerging industries. Therefore, in recent years, scholars at home andabroad is very keen on the study of high technology industry, especiallythe research on the relationship between high technology industry andeconomic growth, and research methods is changing and innovating.Asthe Western development of China, Gansu province plays an importantpart in high technology industry province, studying the research on therelationship between high technology industry and economic growth isvery important. Based on the collecting and consult, at present the studyon the relationship between the high technology industry and economicgrowth is mostly given with qualitative research in Gansu province and lack of quantitative research. So this research using technology nichetheory to research on the quantitative evaluation between the hightechnology industry and economic growth in Gansu province. In order tothrough this empirical study, putting forward feasible advices andmeasures for the coordinated development between high technologyindustry and economic growth in Gansu province. The main topics of thisthesis are as follows：Firstly, collecting high technology industry data for14cities inGansu province in2002-2011years.Based on the niche theory technologyto evaluate the high technology industry development level and constructthe high technology industry niche evaluation system in Gansu provinceand set up technology niche measure model, using R programmingtechnology to measure the state of high technology industry technologyniche "width" and "depth", and from the Angle of space distribution,region distribution and time development to analyze the measuringresult.Secondly, using14cities measuring result data of Gansu provincefrom2002to2011, choosing GDP，technology niche width called RD,technology niche depth called P as three avariables to set up panel datamodel.In order to find the relationship between the high technologyindustry and the economic growth for14cities in Gansu province.Foundthe ascension of high technology industry development level of the state has great contribution to the local economic growth, and the contributiondegree is different, and the difference in spatial distribution presentcertain regularity.Finally, this article from the macro to analysis the collaborativerelationship between the high technology industry system and economicsystem in Gansu province. And combined with the previous evaluationconclusion, targeted from how to reasonable use of regional advantages,how to accelerate high-tech industry development, how to promotehuman resource advantages, how to develop the high technologyenterprises strategic alliance gives the feasible suggestions andcountermeasures to Gansu province.
