Research On Animal Products Quality Management Of Farmers

In recent years, important progress and numerous achievements have been made on the study on quality safety of animal products. However, the specific research on the quality safety of animal products in Yancheng, Jiangsu, is rare. In this paper, we take the farmers as the investigation object to make a discussion on the quality safety of animal products, which is done under the guidance of "The People’s Republic of China Law of Animal Epidemic Prevention" and "Animal Law of the People’s Republic of China" and takes farmers’cognition on the quality safety of animal products as the breakthrough point. The study will be based on domestic and overseas research results as well as be combined with the reality of quality safety of animal products in Yancheng, using both qualitative and quantitative methods.In this paper research on the related theories about animal products quality safety management and farmers’behavior are done in order to construct theoretical framework of the research. On this basis, this paper analyzed the development of safety management development in Yancheng, as well as analyzed the main measures and practice. Based on the theory, this paper conducted a survey of200households of farmers. Survey showed that:(1) Because of the progress of the society, large numbers of rural population transfer into city, which leads to reduction of work force who engage in agricultural work;(2) Farmers’ cognition on the quality safety of animal products is reflected in the safe applications of veterinary drugs and feed additives farmers for animal products safety cognition is how safe use of veterinary drugs and feed additives, veterinary medicine, factors affecting the safe use of feed additives;(3) Investigation shows, farming households mainly concern about the breeding cost while purchasing feed and the date of production (4.94), but not about the provisions of invoices (3.71) and inspection certificate (3.57).This reflect that the main consideration is taken into breeding cost and less farmers do not care about the provisions of invoices and inspection certificate which is vital to prevent risks.According to the investigation the author puts forward some policy suggestions to promote the quality safety management of animal products in Yancheng:(1)To strengthen leadership and cooperate with a common effort so as to provide strong guarantee for the quality safety of animal products;(2)To strengthen quality safety supervision of animal products and improve the level of quality safety of animal products;(3) To extend ecological breeding mode and increase the comprehensive treatment and utilization of animal sewage;(4) To establish market access system of edible animal by-products;(5) To set up scientific animal health inspection point;(6) To provide training for farmers on quality management;(6) To industrialize animal products.
