A Research On The Training System For New-Type Peasants With Vocations

’New-type peasants with vocations’is a special term which has come into being with the development of society and the social reform in the countryside. It is accompanied with specific connotations and explanations. With the changes of the developmental paths of China’s agriculture, it is an urgent task that a large amount of new-type peasants with vocations are trained and cultivated in order to meet requirements posed by the construction of New Socialist Countryside. Under these circumstances, this research is conducted on research bases in counties and towns around Changsha City. Through a thorough study on the actual participance in the science and technology training for peasants in the aforementioned regions, and with a combined methodology of synthetic and comparative analysis, this paper analyzes the status quo and problems of the training system for new-type peasants with vocations. It goes further to propose some countermeasures to innovate the system and to ensure its rapid development in a standard and orderly way so as to train peasants that can be competent in technological vocations to meet with requests brought about by the development of modern agriculture. This paper hopes to shed some light on the construction of a more effective training system for peasants to better serve the regional economy and social development.
