With the development of China’s market economy and the improvement of themarket mechanism, the competition among enterprises becomes increasingly fierce. Infact, the core of the competition is the competition of persons with abilities. So,human resource management becomes more prominent. Performance management isthe key link of human resources management, and employees play an important rolein the enterprise management. The companies have been exploring how to establish ascientific, rational and effective performance appraisal system to guide the work ofthe staffs, increase their enthusiasm and initiative in order to achieve business goals.This paper mainly adopts the method of combining theory with practice. TakingLongyang International Hotel as the research object, it analyses the current situation ofperformance management of the hotel staffs(including general staff and manager),the implementation of the performance appraisal scheme to improve the performanceappraisal program design. Firstly, It uses the standardized research methodology tosummarize the research results at home and abroad. Then, it puts forward the researchidea and research framework based on the Balanced Scorecard and target management.Secondly, the careful analysis is carried out on Longyang International Hoteldevelopment and the current situation of assessment, pointing out the existingproblems. It is ready for the following solutions. Thirdly, it puts forward theimprovement scheme of performance appraisal and the principle of scale design,evaluation of process design and the use of evaluation improved results with theexisting performance appraisal method. Finally, it points out that the supportingmeasures and the implementation of the performance appraisal system improvementprogram, and effectively evaluates the performance evaluation results.On the basis of existing evaluation system, this paper targets to carry on theadjustment to the existing staff performance appraisal system, designs solutions andestablishes performance management system and team performance appraisal systemAfter the adjustment scheme, it further mobilizes the enthusiasm of the staff work andcreativity, improves employee enthusiasm and sense of responsibility, and creates themore achievements for the company. This paper is a practical application ofperformance management theory and performance evaluation, aiming to provide areference point for Hunan Longyang International Hotel. I do not only hope to enhance the company appraisal of scientific rationality, but also hope to provide someSignificance for the same occupation.
