China has enjoyed a dominant advantage in the international market of the canned fruit and vegetable products. While since the global financial crisis, with the intensifying competition, market segment as well as the appreciation of the RMB, some of the enterprises exporting canned products have very pressing living situation currently. With fruit and vegetable processing and export as its major business line, LY (Shaanxi) Company should solve the problems in how to maintain fast and long-term development, acquire stable international orders and explore the untouched but promising domestic market. Therefore, establishing the competitive strategies for the future development has became LY Company’s primary task and will be given great attention in this article.In this article, starting from the current international trade situation and the macro policy, based on the research of the relevant competitive strategies, we use the correlation analysis tools such as PEST, five model and SWOT to discuss the external competition environment and the strength and weakness of this company. What’s more, the contrast and analysis are also made to the three basic competitive strategies and finally the conclusion is that the differentiation strategy is the first choice of LY Company, which can help it exploit its advantages to the full to develop. In order to promote the company to implement the strategy effectively, some suggestions are given at last.By applying the appropriate relevant theories and using the analysis tools, this article helps LY Company make the appropriate choice of the competitive strategy to keep a dominant position in the market and have a continuous and healthy development in the long run. In the meantime, from the analysis of the very time of the competition, with LY Company as a sample, we also would like to give some hints for the other companies in the same field.
