In recent years, with the rapid development of Chinese economy, the residents’income continues to increase, automotives’ consumption demands is vigorous. The automotive manufacturing industry is in a rapid development period. The rapid growth of automobile consumption caused huge pressure on resources and the environment. Take the electric car as representation of new energy automotive industry which is facing the important strategic development opportunities. K company as Lithium-ion power supply battery manufacturer, is facing the extrusion which is coming from a number of competitors and the upstream&downstream firms. When K is doing a good job in the main business of battery manufacturing, to develop the electric car’s power supply business as a new profit growth point is K company’s important issue. Under the above background, the article is researching the development strategy of the company’s electric car’s power supply business. The article is using PEST analysis, industry life cycle theory, Porter’s five forces model to analyze K company’s external macroeconomic environment, industry environment and internal environment. The article is also applying SWOT analysis to find out the opportunities and threats when K company is developing electric car’s power supply business and indentify its strengths and weaknesses. The article propose a strategic program for K company’s electric car’s power supply business and advance a series measures to ensure the smooth implementation of the strategy.
