In recent years, with the incessant business development and the external fiercecompetition, how to improve market competitiveness becomes the most pressing problem ofLT Construction Company. At present, the management style of Chinese construction marketis still extensive, evaluation management change to performance management is the objectiverequirement of market economy. The original management style has been unable to meet theneeds of the company’s development, and also can not adapt to the competitive marketenvironment. So, establishing an effective performance appraisal system is imperative.Based on the analysis of performance management status at home and abroad, this paperfind out the existing problems in original appraisal system and the reasons for the problems,using relevant knowledge of BSC and KPI, combined with the company’s existingorganization and strategic objectives, to formulate a set of viable performance appraisalsystem. The framework of this paper is balanced score card, it divides the strategic objectiveinto company level, section level and project department level, drafts the key performanceindicators KPI, works out a suitable staff performance appraisal system of LT ConstructionCompany. In addition, tightly coupled with the company’s condition, the paper also designsthe evaluation scheme and implementation plans of performance appraisal system, to improvethe management level of company and the quality of staff, to make the company becomeslarger and stronger incessantly.
