Financial Strategic Matrix Analysis Of Communication Equipment Manufacturing Industry

In the times of strategic management, financial strategy was now widely recognized as a very important part of enterprise strategy. Scholars keep studying the Financial Strategy theory. In1993, the evaluation index of EVA was first brought up by the Stern Stewart company and based on the EVA and sustainable development rate, Hawawini brought up the theory which is about the Financial Strategy Matrix in2000. Since the theory is brought up recently, there are not many relevant researches.This research tries to study the financial strategy theory and the financial strategic matrix theory firstly. And then take the telecommunication equipment manufacturing industry as example to do some quantitative analysis and form the financial strategic matrix of the industry. At last, use the case study of the industry and apply the relevant measures of the theory into the cases.This research is consisted of seven parts:Part one is the introduction of the research background, implications and contributions. Part two, gives a view of the relevant previous studies both from foreign and domestic. Part three, gives an introduction of the basic theories in the financial strategy and financial strategic matrix. Part four, take the telecommunication equipment manufacturing industry as the study subject and divided the listed companies in this industry according to the financial strategy matrix theory. The fifth part is to test whether the financial strategic matrix is feasible in the practice. Part six is case study, this part take4typical company which is located in4different quadrant representing4different state as examples to study the applicability of the financial strategic matrix. Part seven, gives the summary of this research and proposes the prospect to this research.The contribution of this research includes:Firstly, based on the previous financial strategy studies, this research makes a further study from the perspective of financial strategic matrix, makes an innovation on research perspective. Secondly, put financial strategic matrix theory into the telecommunication equipment manufacturing industry to perfect the researches on this industry.The main deficiencies of this research are:Because of my limited study ability, the number of the sample will result in the research’s accuracy. So if there are more samples or industry studies, the result could be more dependable. Secondly, the adjustment of the return on the investment capital (ROIC) is not very accurate. And these can be perfected in further research in the future.
