Comply with the development direction and trend of the times, lean production isan inevitable trend that is introduced into the operation of electro-opticalcommunication industry; this article is the summary of practice in company, so it hasthe profound and broad realistic meaning for the congener company which has thesimilar matter.Regarded the production system of W company as research objects inmulti-varieties and small batch manufacturing condition, the article study the presentplight of the W company which combine my equivalent experience of managementproduction and the relevant references at home and abroad. On the one hand, thetraditional lean production is innovated and improved in theory by analyse thelimitations of multi-varieties and small batch manufacture, on the other hand, we wantto pursue the lean production in W company that will reform the traditionalproduction system to better adapt to the personalized needs of market environment,and then we will have the verification which is about of the feasibility of thetheoretical innovation.First, the article outline the connotation, development process and the maintechnology of the lean production, and point out the limitations of multi-varietiesand small batch manufacture, then analyse the shortcomings by refer to the relevantreferences and excellent cases at home and abroad. Second, we deeply analyse andconclude problems of the production system in W company, such as the seriousbacklog of warehouse, the serious waste waiting of people and equipment, low qualityand the serious waste of product handling, then pertinently dissect the cause ofproblems, for example, the unreasonable production process, the shortcomings ofproduction standardization, the unreasonable control mechanism of production planand the unscientific mechanism of productive maintenance. Third, be aimed at theproblem and its cause of the production system in W company, we expound thedetailed design of lean production in W company by apply the related technique oflean production and the previously mentioned innovation theory, then, we elaboratethe safeguards of the specific implementation and the effect of the implementation.Finally, we conclude the research findings and the problem of implementation, andforecast the future research direction.
