Research On The Lean Production In Flextronics(SU ZHOU) Company Of EMS Enterprise

The current global economy is facing a shrinking market demand and productdiversification,and with the rising cost of materials and labor costs rise company profitmargins are compressed which subject to greater influence and impact on the electronicsmanufacturing services industry (EMS) companies. It is urgent case to study theimplementation of lean production to reduce operating costs for EMS companies.This text is taken lean production management system of Flextronics (Suzhou)company of EMS enterprise as example and analysize the main problems facing on theirproduction systems. Based on the theories and methods of lean production, this textconducted systematic analysis and research focused on these two aspects of shop floorKaizen and production process improvement and put forwards to detail lean productionmethods. The study found that shop floor had been significantly improved using case oftools-Identify&Clear Waste,5S&Visual Management, Poka-yuke, VSM, SMED,Standard Work Sheet in Flextronics Suzhou company. Compared the related data beforeand after improvement of production system, it was found that changeover time wassignificantly shortened, the processing time of each station tends to balance, the usagerate of operating space was increased and significantly reduce the number of operatorafter usage of lean tools-Poka-yuke,VSM, SMED,Standard Work Sheet. Indicate thatlean production management should be based on the present status of company andimplement it gradually. Also, put forward concrete proposals to promote leanmanufacturing improvement.The study results of this text has a certain reference value to the electronics manufacturing services industry enterprises, and has guiding significance for generalcompanies to apply lean production.
