A Study On The Selection Of Leading Trades Of Modern Service Industry In Xinjiang

In the1960s,the developed countries had already entered the post-industrial era,and ingeneral, service industry accounted for more than60%of GDP.In the1980s,with theinformation technology gradually was applied to economic and social field around theworld,traditional service industry was reformed,optimized and upgraded constantly.softwareindustry and e-commerce industry and other emerging services,which was based oninformation technology,rose suddenly. The global economy began to enter the “modernservice economy” era from the “service economy” eta.To develop modern service industry is essential to the transformation of economicdevelopment patterns,which is good for improving industry competition,people’s quality oflife and social employment rate.In addition, it is strategic policy for enhancing overallnational strength.In recent years modern service industry has been highly valued in ourcountry,and has achieved economic development by leaps and bounds in some regions andareas.Although the development of modern service industry in Xinjiang has madeconsiderable achievements,but it is incompatible with the rapid economic development levelof Xinjiang.There is a wide gap between eastern region and western region on the modernservice industry development level.It is urgent to form a perfect developmentsystem.Therefore,the development of modern service become an urgent need for promotingindustrial structure optimization and the internal driving power of economic development.This article is based on summarizing research results at home and abroad on modernservice development and leading industry selection.in addition,it makes a theoretical analysison the concept,classification and characteristics of modern service industry.The main choicecriterion of leading service industry for modern service are:Hirschman criterion,RostowCriterion and comparative advantage criterion.In addition, the paper analyzes the thedevelopment and changes on the structure of service sector and modern service sector viaStatistical Yearbook.Compared with Henan province and guangdong province,it describes thecurrent development situation of modern service industry in detail in Xinjiang.At the same time,using the Analytic Hierarchy Process evaluates the development ofmodern service Industry in Xinjiang. This article builds fourteen secondary indicators and fivefirst indicators,including demands motivation, production inputs, industrial competitiveness,social contributions and industry related degree, which constitute a index system of selecting leading trades of modern service industry in Xinjiang.According to the results of the dataanalysis,This paper argues that,compared other sectors,Financial Intermediationsector,transport/storage and post sector and real estate sector have the developmentpotential,which can be the leading industries of modern service industry in Xinjiang.
