The Research On Government Regulation Of Food Safety In China

There is a severe situation of food security in our country. We also have a lowgovernment effectiveness in our country. In order to strengthen government supervisionefficiency, this paper first analyze of the necessity of government regulation of foodsafety in China from a theoretical view.Secondly, introduce the current situation and problems about governmentsupervision of food security. It is analysis from supervision concept, supervisionstructure, and supervision method, which mainly focusing the exists of problem aboutsupervision structure and supervision method. We analyze the supervision structurefrom four respects: structural establishment, functions configuration, power distribution,and operational mechanism. Supervision method include three aspects,such as legalregulations means, policy means, and technology means.Finally, exploring the causes and countermeasures of our government supervisionproblem about food security.The reason of our government supervision problem isthe lack full knowledge about the characteristic of supervision power and lackeffective control for it. Food security regulatory sector don’t established up effectivecontrol mechanism, which including self-discipline mechanism and heteronomousmechanism, especially regulatory sector of self-discipline mechanism not perfect. So wealso don’t established up perfect of administrative asked accountability system,performance examination system. Certainly, perfecting the mechanism ofself-regulation depends on perfecting the heteronomous mechanism.Therefore, solving food security concerns depends on the effectiveness ofgovernment regulation improving, but government supervision and improving theeffectiveness macro depends on the political system reform. Therefore, we need have aa rational expectation for improving the government’supervision efficiency,and weshould standing a height of the political system reform, it is a long and complexprocess.
