A Study Into The Double-competence Tailor-made Training Model For The High-class Road Maintenance And Management Major

Since the first expressway put into operation in our province in1995, the length of the expressway has been up to3000kilometers until2011. For the Twelfth Five-year Plan, highway construction is under tight progress, highway capacity is gradually increasing, the highway network density become more and more, the Sichuan province traffic enterprise ushered in the great development of the historic opportunity.As the past years have been witnessing the sharp increase of the length of the high-grade expressway, low-level and backward management maintenance is the great headache affecting the healthy development of expressways. Maintenance professionals fail to meet with the rapid progress of high-grade expressways. The great shortage of professionals with universal and special qualities restricts the sustainable development of expressways. In order to meet with the rapid development of Sichuan expressways, the College serves as the important base for producing maintenance professionals and introduces both Double Competences Model and Tailor-made Model into the major of high-grade expressways maintenance and management. Based on the research into the Double Competences (universal quality and special quality) and Tailor-made Model (typically oriented for mutual development of professionals and talents between college-enterprise cooperation), this paper has theoretical significance to the exploration into perfecting higher vocational education, and practical significance to the presentation of effective ways to communicate and to the quick solutions of questions. In terms of the increasingly higher requirements for quality professionals, it is necessary to improve the overall quality of professionals by arming them with Double Competences. By establishing the professionals development model, job-oriented and tailor-made and applicable for the law of the development of higher vocational education and suitable for the requirements of both transportation industry and expressway companies, and by carrying out enterprise-college cooperation programs characterized by mutually drafting professionals development plans and establishing teaching resources and designing textbooks and internship bases, the College actively looks for potentials in expressway companies and meet with their requirements and producing quality professionals, with excellent ability to adapt, and achieve the purpose of win-win among colleges, companies and graduates. This paper is dedicated to introducing Five-phase in Project Management into professionals development and taking as a research object the development of professionals majoring in high-grade expressway maintenance and management.
