With the competition of the international agricultural product market becoming more and more severe, import and export trade of it gradually reflects its importance in our country, and Jiangxi province as a major agricultural province, the total amount of it has a larger proportion in the national agricultural, but its quantity of export whether in China or Jiangxi, even gets small part in the total export products. On such background, how to improve the international competitiveness of agricultural products of Jiangxi, increase the international market share, promote the development of trade of agricultural products, increase farmers’ income, and become the main problems of our thinking.At first, based on the research results on international competitiveness by the domestic and overseas scholars; it mainly introduced the situation of international competitiveness of agricultural products in Jiangxi province. In the analysis process, by collecting and collating nearly ten years of relevant statistical data, from the comparative advantage and competitive advantage theory, use the trade competitiveness index TC, revealed comparative advantage index RCA and regional revealed comparative advantage index RRCA, trade dependence and international market share MS etc to evaluate, it shows that the international competitiveness of agricultural products in Jiangxi is generally weak, mainly reflected in the declined of oil cereals and agricultural commodities; shocking and doubting for dairy products production; for animal and aquatic products, although they have the obvious competitive advantage, but trading products is still in the primary, and limited by the international trade barriers; fruit and vegetable products also has great potential.Then combined with Porter’s diamond model, from the four elements (produce factors, domestic demand, relevant and support industries, strategy, structure and competition condition of enterprise) and two aspects (government and opportunity) to analysis why the international competitiveness of agricultural products in Jiangxi is weak, and points out some problems for it, which the labor, land and capital into the development of the three elements don’t match; the domestic market and international market’s fault; the middle and lower reaches of the development of relevant industries lag and agricultural enterprise strategy, structure and competition is not reasonable.At last, combined with the actual development of Jiangxi current condition, it puts forward to solve the above problem related, such as advice on expanding the planting area, developing ecological agriculture, promoting processing technology and expanding exports, subsidized policy, etc., so as to the ultimate goal for improving the international competitiveness of agricultural products of Jiangxi province.
