| The huge loss and bankruptcy produced by operational risk in foreign and domestic commercial banks happened occasionally, some of which had a severe impact on the overall economy, with the rapid development of financial globalization and financial derivatives and the increase on the complexity in commercial bank operating recently. Besides, the problem of operational risk was thought over during the US subprime loan crisis which began in2007. Meanwhile, the loss event of operational risk occurred frequently and has a severe tendency, which means operational risk is bocoming the main risk of commercial bank in our country, with the rapid progress of financial deregulation, business globalization, financial innovation and information technology. Under such circumstance, the thesis takes LN branch in China Construction Bank as example to examine the problem of operational risk in commercial bank.The thesie has mainly five chapters.Chapter1examines the basic theory of operational risk in commercial bank. It combs the definition and classification of operational risk in commercial bank, analyzes the relationship among operational risk, market risk and credit risk, and sums up the main factors of operational risk management.Chapter2examines the reasons of operational risk in LN branch in China Construction Bank. It analyzes the reasons and mechanism of operational risk from subjective aspect and objective aspect, on the basis of introducing the current situation of operational risk in LN branch in China Construction Bank. Besides, it analyzes some cases related to operational risk.Chapter3examines the challenge to the management of operational risk in LN branch in China Construction Bank. It analyzes the impact of the improvement of Basel Accord on the management of operational risk in LN branch on the basis of generalizing the progress of Basel Accord. Besides, it analyzes the impact of financial innovation on the management of operational risk in LN branch from innovative financial areas and innovative financial products.Chapter4examines the practice and inspiration of the management of operational risk in the foreign and domestic commercial banks.
