Analysis On The Influence Of China’s Services Trade On Services Employment

With the constant adjustment of the global economic structure, the developedcountries will make service industry as the center of the future economic development.China’s service industry is developing rapidly since reform and opening up, but laboroversupply problem is still unresolved. The responsibility for creating jobs will morefall on developing the service industry. According to the clark theorem, along with thegrowth of the economic strength of a country, the domestic labor transfer to a thirdindustry gradually. This article aims at analyzing services trade on the effect ofemployment in service industry in China.First, trade in services is included in international trade, by comparing with two andcombining with the characteristics of China’s service trade, theoretical research on therelationship between China’s service trade and the employment in service industry. Andto analyze the Long-term situation about China’s service trade and employment dateover the years. The conclusion that there is a large space for expansion which China’sservice trade promotes the growth of service industry employment.Secondly, this article selected data for1990-2011China’s service imports andexports and employment in service industry. After processing the data, the empiricalanalysis carried on the relationship between service exports and imports andemployment. In the long-term relationships, service exports each1%growth, theemployment will be increased by0.2329%; service imports each1%growth, theemployment will be increased by0.1108%. The article also used Granger causality testto analysis between service imports and exports and employment, and find out reason.Finally, this article put forward suggestions of developing China’s services trade toimprove employment. Namely, ensuring the effective implementation of governmentfunctions and promote the development of service industry; playing the comparativeadvantage of China’s service industry, optimizing the structure of service; putting stresson training talents of services trade and improve the quality of personnel.
