From the relationship of industry trade and employment, trade in services has tightconnection with industry trade and employment. Given most literature introduces theemployment influence from the total service industry domain. This paper adopts empiricalstudy to analyze international trade in services in order to find employment influence inChina, taking the transportation service as an example to illustrate it. This paper will usestepwise regression analysis method in the econometric models. Selecting thetransportation service, FDI as explanatory variables, the employment of transportationindustry as the explained variable, and trade in goods, GDP introduced as controlledvariables. Finally making a regression model and analyzing how the transportation servicesin trade influence China’s transportation industrial employment. Considering the literaturenot comprehensive enough on influence of trade in services and the relative in trade inservices and international trade. This paper uses the relative theory on international tradeand employment increasing with the international trade in services feature, and thenanalyzes employment problem influence by the international trade in services. Chapter Onemainly introduces background, significant, mythology, content and literature review fromChina and abroad. Chapter Two analyses the theoretical overview on trade in services andemployment. The most important is explaining the influence mechanism of them. Chapterthree is about the current situation in export and import services by transportation. On theone hand illustrating the development status and future trend in transportation services ofchina according to the latest data. On the other hand considering the impaction of itsconstraints in development. Chapter four makes an empirical study about the relationshipof service trade in transportation and employment in transportation industry by usingdistribution of regression method. Chapter five is drawing a conclusion and makingconstructive suggestions.
