A Study On The Mode Of Cultivating Vocational College Graduates Majored In Hotel Management Based On Employment Posts

As occupational education is becoming increasingly important, vocational college always regard talent training as the most important issue. Therefore we face the problem of what kind of talents we should cultivate and how we should cultivate the talents. This thesis is a tentative study on this problem.The popularization of higher education caused relatively intense employment competition for graduates from vocational college. Employment not only asks for diploma but also for ability and social needs. Therefore, the innovations of talents’ educating modes become the heated topic for related colleges and educators. The thesis believes that the only way out for graduates majored in hotel management is to establish a new mode based on the employment posts. The colleges should design courses according to the fact that different positions need different ability so as to form the practical curriculum system with specialty. Besides, the colleges should be equipped with full-time and part-time teachers in order to cultivate the talents who have professional skills and also can meet the needs of modern society. Therefore a mode with specialty of cultivating students majored in hotel management can be established.The thesis elaborates on the mode of cultivating students majored in hotel management based on employment posts from four aspects:the theories about vocational college education; the analysis on employment posts and abilities; the mode of four-period interacted talents’ education; Security system for the mode. The thesis adopted the research method and literature method to analyze and conclude the problems in the practice and teaching. From the analysis of the employment posts, the thesis provides a new mode to establish the curriculum system for students majored in hotel management. From the special character of hotel management major, the thesis provides the application of the mode. The thesis finally forms the mode of four-period interacted talents’ education to cultivate highly skilled and qualified workers who can adapt to the modernization of our society in order to provide talents for hotel and therefore raise the level of our hotel industry.
