The Empirical Study On The Economic Development Level And Quality Of Inner Mongolia

Since the Reform and Opening-up, China’s national economy and comprehensivenational power developed rapidly, the regional economy has undergone profound changes.During the implementation of large-scale development of the western region and thestrategy of Northeast old industrial base revitalization, Inner Mongolia has achievedremarkable economic high-speed growth, the economy and society has undergonetremendous changes, the level of economic development increased gradually. In2011,Inner Mongolia’s GDP reached1.436trillion yuan, ranked14th in the country; GDP percapita reached57,974yuan, ranking sixth in the country.In general, the level of economic development and the quality of economicdevelopment are closely related to each other, and raise of the level of economicdevelopment come along with the improvement of the quality of economic development,however, the social and economic practice show the relationship between the two is inpositive correlation. How about the level and quality of regional economic development inInner Mongolia, the quality of regional economic development is good or bad, inferiorityor superiority, and what are the problems?This paper, using Inner Mongolia statistics as sample and the theories of,regionaleconomics, measurement economics, industrial economics, combined empirical analysisand normative research, common analysis and personalized analysis, static analysis anddynamic analysis, quantitative and qualitative analysis, make modeling and analysis of thelevel of economic development of Inner Mongolia in the entire western region, reveal anumber of issues of the quality of economic development in Inner Mongolia and providecorresponding suggestions, explore one economic development road for the relativelybackward nation region with abundant resources, relatively fragile ecological environment,and provide a reference to development of Inner Mongolia region’s economic and socialdevelopment as well as the entire western minority area.The analysis results show that in Inner Mongolia, the total economic growth is largelybased on energy consumption at the expense of lower efficiency of economic development,its economic development take extensive mode of high input and low output, based onover-reliance on resource advantages. This paper put forward relevant suggestions to theproblems such as irrational education structure, employment structure and economicstructure, unfair distribution, resource allocation of low efficiency and government failure.
