Modern Tobacco Agriculture Base Planning And Construction In Ruijin City

The developing of the tobacco agriculture is an important content of the modemagriculture construction. The planning and construction of base unit is a concrete measureof developing modem tobacco agriculture, which is for the further advance of raw materialsupply on-base,the characteristics of tobacco leaf, the production modernization, andimplementing the raw material of cigarette on level of security.Ruijin is located in thesoutheast of Jiangxi Province, which is the main tobacco producing area in Jiangxi. As themain economy’s mainstay of local farmers’ income, fiscal revenue and enterprise benefit,the tobacco industry makes a significant contribution to the economic development andsocial stability of Ruijin. It has the positive practical significance that planning andconstruction of modern tobacco agriculture base unit in Ruijin city, which is for theaccelerating the pace of the construction of the modern tobacco agriculture in Ruijin cityand enhancing the overall competitiveness of tobacco.The paper expounds the meaning of modern tobacco agriculture and analyses themodern tobacco agriculture development status of Ruijin. On this basis, it puts forward anintegrated modern tobacco agriculture construction planning which will set up a tobaccobase including four towns of Rentian, Huangbai, Yeping and Ridong.The planning is on the basis of soil planting tobacco suitability evaluation.The resultsof appropriate evaluation show that the arable area of S(Ⅰ) area is64603.97mu, whichaccounted for40%of the arable land of the base, that mainly distributed in Yeping andHuangbai;The arable area of S(Ⅱ) area is77715.23mu,which accounted for48.12%of thearable land of the base，that mainly distributed inYeping and Rentian;The arable area ofS(Ⅲ) area is18849.75mu, which accounted for11.67%of the arable land of the base,thatmainly distributed in Ridong and Rentian;The arable area of S(IV) area is339.42mu,which accounted for0.21%of the arable land of the base，that mainly distributed in Ridongand Rentian.According to the construction of the modern tobacco agriculture standard, the baseunit is delineated by using the GIS technique. Eight major infrastructure construction hadbeen planed, including basic tobacco field, irrigation engineering, roads of production area,intensive curing barn,nursery facilities,agricultural implements, primary site, disasterprevention and mitigation system. That provides a blueprint for the next planning andconstruction of modern tobacco agriculture base unit of the city of Ruijin.
