Flue-cured tobacco industry has been one of the most important pillar industry in Ningnan, and it’s the main source of household income of local farmers. Before2008, the tobacco production of Sichuan Province,Ningnan country, was mainly based on small-scale production, extensive management of traditional tobacco agricultural production. This traditional mode of production could not meet the requirements of the current agricultural production, and even could not meet the need for high-quality tobacco leaf and features of the tobacco enterprises. Conforming to the trend of the development of modern agriculture in our country.The national Tobacco administration promoted the infrastructure of the tobacco production comprehensively, realized the large-scale cultivation, specialization, intensive management, information management, and strived the traditional agriculture transformated to modern tobacco agriculture in2007. Ningnan seized the opportunities of the tobacco industry tightly to promote the modern tobacco agriculture, and promoted the modern tobacco agricultural construction actively all over the country.Adoption in recent years of exploration and practice, Ningnan County of modern tobacco agriculture is focused on promoting the construction of modern tobacco agriculture at the aspect of the constrction of Infrastructure, the intensive management, areas of specialization, information management.In order to learn about the development of Ningnan’s modern tobacco agriculture, this article used the methods of sampling, questionnaires, field trip, literature analysis, social indicators analysis, general survey methods to study the production conditions, quality characteristics, production status systematic investigation of Ningnan tobacco to investigate,inducted and contrasted the Ningnan modern tobacco agriculture in the construction of modern tobacco agriculture infrastructure, production organization pattern, the tobacco production, and summarize the results that the Ningnan modern tobacco agriculture had get:First, the infrastructure was further strengthen; irrigatio, traffic, bulk curing barn, the hail proof system such as tobacco infrastructure coverage had increased more than15%, and most of the them had increased more than30%.second, large-scale planting had increased, the planting proportion all over the country had increased from5970m2to8057m2, the growth reached to34.94%. third, intensive, standardized production had improved significantly. Fourth, a specialized division of labor, social service had made a breakthrough. Fifth, a information management was implementated comprehensively.and the Information covered up to100%.sixth, the further improvement of the tobacco’quality, farmers’income continued to increase, the first-class tobacco had rose from45.03%to49.88%, Orange tobacco rose from79.79%to95.80%, household income had increased from2213.28yuan to2636.81yuan, the increase proportion was19.09%.The article also summarized the main problems that Ningnan modern tobacco agriculture development faced, and put forward their own proposals for the Ningnan modern tobacco agricultural construction. Through the development of modern tobacco agriculture, the quality of local tobacco leaf had increased effectively,the technology of tabacco condution had advanced obviously, the effect of tobacco farmers reducing worker and increasing incomes was obvious, the planting scale of tobacco leaf was stability,all of these had laid a solid foundation for the sustainable development of the local tobacco production.
