Along with the accelerating urbanization and industrialization, more and more agricultural land is occupied in various ways and the number of landless peasants is becoming larger and larger. This is the result of the social progresses. Currently most acute contradictions in rural areas are mainly related to land issues, which resulting in a large number of landless peasants, especially in economically developed suburbs. This has been the main issue in the rural economic development and a threat to the social stability and harmony.Local employment of landless peasants is a breakthrough point to solve these three major problems of the landless peasants. Based on domestic and international research on landless peasants’local employment and the case study on Sanlang Town, Chongzhou, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, it is found that the local employment situation of the landless peasants in Sanlang town is not optimistic. Landless peasants who were hired locally accounted for only26%of the total number of landless peasants. The field survey also found that the landless peasants lack of technical content mainly engaged in labor works, which implies that the training provided by the government and enterprises does not really work.To solve the issue of local professionalism for landless peasants, it involves in local government, resident enterprises and landless peasants. These three factors are in inseparable connections in solving this problem. Firstly, government provides a strong guarantee of the good employment environment and plays a role of the bridge for communication between landless peasants and resident enterprises. Secondly, landless peasants should positively adapt to new situations, improve their comprehensive working capabilities. Lastly, resident enterprises should take social responsibilities in the local community and help the government to solve the issue of local professionalism of landless peasants. More active adjustments and adpations of the three parties could make the interaction between them more harmonious and efficient. Therefore, a more efficient solvency of the issue of the local professionalism for landless peasants can be expected.
