Compares with other general flight vehicles, helicopter has some unique flight pattern which enables the helicopter to carry on the normal work under the non-conventional aviation environment. Simultaneously, helicopter can implement the multiple in certain burst characteristics event duties. As a result, the helicopter has the very widespread application domain. AVIC China Helicopter Corporation is one of the subsidiary companies of Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). As a large-scale state-owned enterprise, it is owned by both AVIC and Tianjin government. Its scope of business contains helicopter’s research and development, the design, the experiment, the production and the sale work. AVIC China Helicopter Corporation is composed with Harbin Aircraft Industrial Group, Changhe Aircraft Industrial Group, AVIC China Helicopter Research and Development Institute, Baoding Propeller Factory, and Tianjin Subsidiary Company. In the development project, AVIC China Helicopter Corporation will substitute for the leadership in Chinese helicopter market of Eurocopter. To achieve this goal well, the Corporation formulates company’s developmental strategy according to the internal and external condition inevitably.Researching the AVIC China Helicopter Corporation, this paper carries on a deep discussion to its developmental strategy by analyzing its own characteristic and competition environment. Firstly, this article discusses the background of the company’s development, and the positive role of the study, followed by a brief introduction of strategic analysis methods and tools used in this article. Next, since the AVIC China Helicopter Corporation is a subsidiary of AVIC, this paper also gives a brief introduction for AVIC. After that, it provides a more details of the Helicopter Company’s each subsidiary company and research institute. Company’s organization construction and the service pattern is also carried on the analysis. Since then, this paper uses the PESTEL method to analyze the external macro-environment of company. It is found that it is ideal for company development in the Chinese civil helicopter market in the current macroeconomic environment. Then, this article carries on the classification to the Chinese civil rotorcraft market, and introduced the Chinese market’s characteristic. By using the analysis of Porter’s five forces model, this article also analyzes the competition environment of the helicopter corporation. In afterward content, this article uses the SWOT analysis to the Helicopter Corporation and proposes several kinds of strategies which the company may accept in the present situation. Finally, this article proposes the strategic implementation safeguard mechanism which needs to carry on for the success implementation company strategy.
