The quality problem of the products plays a vital role for the survival and development of enterprises. Especially in the context of economic globalization, enterprises have more and more pressure of competition, and will win only by the quality and cheap products in the economic tide, but some problems often appear in the actual design, production as well as the actual application of the product, it is necessary to solve these problems that finding the reasons, considering countermeasures and measures, controlling product quality and the fluctuations of working quality, in order to reduce the repair costs, improve economic efficiency, increase the competitiveness of enterprises.XR company is a enterprises specialized in the production and manufacturing of industrial automation instruments, the main production are all kinds of flow meters widely used in national defense, petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, thermal, power, pharmaceutical, food, environmental protection and other industries. Flow meter is a kind of special product which is used to measure all types of liquid, gas flow in pipes or open channels, which is required highly by government departments for industry flow products in measurement accuracy, response speed, reliability, stability and other aspects, it is asked for the special properties of heat resistance, corrosion resistance and high pressure resistance if it is used in metallurgical, chemical and oil industries. Therefore, the problem of quality of the product is very important for the XR company’s existence and development, and, the after-sale repaired work of products is all repaired by XR themselves, if the problems of product’s quality are more, in the one hand, this increased the cost and personnel of company in service work, in the other hand, this also damaged the interests of customers and the company’s products trust over the long term to influence the long-term development of the company.In this paper XR companies are facing the problem of high rate of repair, author analysed more than400repaired data over seven months from repaired records, identified the main product quality problem, namely the point of failure, which occurred frequently and influenced most of the profits of the company, using management tools Pareto figure, which included the movement damage, circuit board damaged, the inaccuracy of flow and meter neck sensor problem.Causal analysis diagram is applied to identify the causes of the fault, including the factors of users, product quality factors, medium factors, transport and environmental factors,etc.Finally, the corresponding improvement schemes is put forward in view of the enterprise product quality problems and reasons to reduce the repaired-rate of products and improve the quality of products. Improved schemes mainly includes four aspects:the pre-job training consciousness should be strengthen in user, XR company should guarantee the each link of quality of products, add inspection personnel and choose the logistics company with good reputation, sales staff should communicate with users fully to guarantee correct selections.Through investigation and visiting, author discovered that the high repaired-rate is not only the problem of a business like XR, most of the instrumentation industry have such problems basically. This paper can provide certain reference significance to product quality managements of similar enterprise.
