Currently, one of the main problems of Chinese enterprises is big but not stong,which also hampers the sustainable development of the Chinese economy. To solve thisproblem, we must improve our capability of independent innovation of the enterprise;therefore, how to improve the innovation performance have become the scholars’research topics. Many scholars have shown that the employees’ goal orientation largelydetermines the level of innovation performance, so the study of the relationship betweenthe two will have important practical significance.What kind of effect does the staff goal orientation will produce on the innovationperformance, and how does the internal and external environment regulate therelationship between the two, these are the main contents of this article. On the basis ofprevious research, this article have been build a staff goal orientation on innovationperformance model, including four variables, employee goal orientation, innovationperformance, organizational trust and business environment. This paper mainly studiedthe effect of employee goal orientation on innovation performance, and the regulatoryrole of organizational trust and corporate business environment on the relationshipbetween the two. The staff goal orientation includes learning goal orientation andperformance goal orientation. By regression analysis method, this article verified theeffect of learning goal orientation and performance goal orientation on innovationperformance, and the regulatory role of organizational trust and the businessenvironment. The role of each variable is analyzed theoretically, and according to theresults of theoretical analysis, the policy recommendations for enterprises to improvetheir innovation performance have been proposed.Through a questionnaire survey research of more than20enterprises and nearlytwo hundred employees, the results of data analysis shows that there is a significantpositive effect of learning goal orientation on innovation performance, but there is not asignificant effect between performance goal orientation and innovation performance.Organizational trust and business environment played a significant regulatory role onthe relationship between the two, the higher level of organizational trust, and morefriendly business environment, the greater impact of learning goal orientation oninnovation performance. Therefore, to improve innovation performance, other thingsbeing equal, the leaders of enterprises should strongly consider individuals with a learning goal orientation in hiring new employees and promoted the new leadership, andshould guide their employees to the direction of learning goal orientation. To improvethe innovation performance, business leaders should create a better organization of trustwithin the enterprise. When the business environment is severe, business managersshould take appropriate measures to ensure the survival of the enterprise, and toaccumulate strength for the future development; when the business environment isfriendly, business managers should support and encourage employees to innovate inorder to achieve rapid development. |
