Along with the wide application of the Internet, the installation and actuali-zation of communication, office automation, bank transfer automation and retail automation, Information Security is becoming more and more important. Now, the speed and security of data encryption & decryption is the key point, which brings on many cryptographic algorithms. DES(Data Encryption Standard)was initially proposed by IBM in 70s, and has became the industrial standard crypto-graphic algorithm.Traditional DES implementation which focuses on the minimum area is ful-filled by iterative method. This leads to a long delay to generate one data block. On the other hand, Side channel cryptanalysis using information leaked during the computation of cryptographic primitives has successfully been used to break implementations on simple platforms such as chip. It has been claimed that in chip-card like devices, all straightforward implementations are susceptible to at-tack by power analysis techniques. So, how to fortify the speed and security of DES encryption is my aim.This paper firstly describes the detail implementations of a Data Encryption Standard (DES) encryptor/decryptor. Secondly, it introduces the theoretic base and operation flow of the differential power analysis (DPA). Then, I give the de- tail method of my optimization on the speed and securiy. Finally, it implements the verification of our design.
