| Traditional urban outdoor lighting control and maintenance mainly depends on human inspections, which has many disadvantages such as low efficiency, high cost, not real-time and so on. It’s hard to keep up with the development of modern city. Intelligent lighting remote control system which is developed with advanced Internet of things (IOT) has the advantages of remote monitoring and controlling, high degree of automation, high efficiency and energy saving, convenient maintenance etc. It can make a good defect of traditional outdoor lighting control and maintenance. This paper designs a smart control system which is composed of control center server and terminals to cover the current shortages of light box in city bus shelter. And it explains how to make the distributed bus shelters light box in every corner of the city smart enough to realize the remote intelligent monitoring and control. At first, this paper studies how to use3G WCDMA technology to communicate between control center server and terminals, including3G communication module, communication formats and protocols. And it introduces the realization of the control center server. In addition, it designs and develops two completely different platform control terminals, one is based on ARM embedded Linux and the other is based on microcontroller STM32F103. This paper in detail introduces system architectures, hardware compositions, development environment and realizations of these two kinds of terminals. Besides, it explains the designs and implements of system including network communication protocols, Bootloader U-Boot, kernel image, root file system, embedded Linux drivers and application, embedded TCP/IP protocol uIP transplant, driver of relay and photosensitive sensor and so on.By field test for a long period time, this system works well. It is stable, accurate and reliable to monitor and control the remote lighting in real-time. Besides, it can intelligently control the lights according to the light intensity around light boxes. It greatly improves the management and operations of the existing light box. |
