For those harsh occasions that are restricted by objective conditions or unsuitable wiring, creating a smooth and reliable wireless information transmission channel for control information and data wireless transmission is a key part of the entire automation and control systems. The methods to find a reliable and low-cost solution has important social significance and application prospects. This paper put forward a wireless handheld controller based on embedded system to address the wiring difficult questions.With industrial equipment such as the PLC to realize networking, it can detect data easily, control data to send, convert data format and so on. Wireless control transmission is based on embedded wireless handheld control terminal and wireless gateway. Wireless handheld control terminal uses ARM11+CC2530+Linux system. As the main processor, ARM11is mainly responsible for the realization of human-computer interaction picture, showing the running status of the equipment, sending control commands, fault alarming, system parameter setting and management. As the from processor, CC2530is responsible for the wireless network, controlling commands and status data of wireless sending and receiving. Wireless gateway is responsible for receiving commands and data from handheld terminal, and sends status information which are read from the PLC back to wireless handheld terminal. The sending and receiving data format between wireless handheld devices and wireless gateway is Zigbee modules,In the process of wireless gateway and PLC communication, data format of commands and data is MODBUS-PDU format of MODBUS serial link protocol.
