With the fast development of mobile communication system, There are multiple systems such as2G,3G, LTE in the future. The number of base station is more and more intensive, the structure is more and more complex. The base station supporting multiple systems boder bandwidth are needed.The magneto-electric antenna was proposed in the1950s, because the E-plane and H-plane are equal. Miniaturization become a direction in the study of base station antenna and then several studies haveSo I make the simulation of the antenna and analyze the parameter in the first.Then I increase the bandwidth of magneto-electric dipole by folding the feeding strip. This antenna has realized wide bandwidth of60%(VSWR<2), from1.74GHz to3.40GHz, stable unidirectional radiation patterns, low cross-polarization.At last we design a bowtie magneto-electric dipole antenna. Compared with the Luk, we realize wide bandwidth of90(VSWR≤2), from1.94GHz to4.60GHz, better unidirectional radiation patterns, lower cross-polarization more stable gain and identical E-plane and H-plane.
