The modern 4G communication networks have basically covered the world with the rapid development of communication systems,and the 5G communication has started and implemented.Therefore,the study of magneto-electric dipole antenna as the base station antenna has great potential for the construction of future communication base stations.Integrated Substrate Gap Waveguide(ISGW)can effectively solve the electromagnetic leakage problems and improve the performance of millimeter-wave antennas.Therefore,using ISGW to study the 5G millimeter-wave magneto-electric dipole antenna is proposed in this paper.The main research work is as follows:(1)This paper researches and designs a novel mm-wave circularly polarized magneto-electric dipole antenna based on ISGW slot-coupling feed.In order to achieve circular polarization,the metal patch of electric dipole rectangular is truncated of the antenna,which is different from the traditional linear polarization regular rectangular electric dipole metal patch.The realization principle and design process of magnetoelectric dipole and its circular polarization are introduced in detail through the electric field,current and phase changes before and after the magneto-electric dipole cut angle in this paper,based on the magneto-electric dipole design with the circular polarization antenna design and analysis theory.Finally,simulation results show: the designed antenna mainly works in the 24.25-27.5GHz millimeter-wave bands,with a relative working bandwidth of about 22.5%(|S11|<-10 d B),a 3d B axial ratio bandwidth of about 9.2%,a radiation efficiency of over 95%,and an average gain of about 7.6d Bic.The test and simulation results are consistent.In addition,by compared the antenna designed in this paper with other antennas of the same type,it can be found that the antenna which is designed in this paper has potential application value in 5G millimeter wave communication.(2)This paper researches and designs a novel high-gain magneto-electric dipole antenna based on ISGW slot-coupled T-shaped fed for millimeter-wave applications.The antenna mainly feeds the magneto-electric dipole through the T-type power division feed network,which is different from the traditional magneto-electric dipole antenna which is fed single transmission line.Therefore,the |S11| and gain of antenna is improved.First of all,a T-type power divider based on ISGW is designed,and it can work in the frequency range of 20-30GHz(|S11|<-15 d B).Then,the high-gain antenna of this paper is further designed by used the designed T-type power splitter.Finally,simulation results show: the designed antenna mainly works in the 24.25-27.5GHz and 27.5-28.35 millimeter-wave bands,and its relative working bandwidth(|S11|<-10 d B)is about 23.3.The radiation efficiency of the antenna is basically maintained at about 95%.The average gain of the antenna is as high as 9d Bi,and its floating range is less than 1d Bi.The test and simulation results are consistent.We will be found that the high-gain magneto-electric dipole antenna is designed in this paper has strong performance and has potential application value in 5G millimeter wave communication by compared with other antennas of the same type.
