China’s Development Communication Research Since The21^st Century

From two aspects of theory and empirical research, the paper reviewed China’s development communication research since the21st Century comprehensively. Since the new century, on one hand, China’s development communication research has been doing the theoretical reflection constantly. On the other hand, researchers are trying to bring forth new ideas about the path of the research actively. While the empirical study shows a present situation that many large-scale empirical investigations combined with some small-scale special subject studies. Besides, this article points out that theoretical research of China’s development communication research has not formed the academic discourse, and although the empirical study has produced a large number of papers, the homogenization tendency is still difficult to avoid.
