Founded on March15,1921, Binjiang Times had a history of over sixteen years.By the time of its closure on November10,1937, it had been published4996issues intotal. As a private newspaper, Binjiang Times had a relatively long history, and a greatinfluence. It recorded many important events of the Republican period of Harbin. Italso records the lives of the people who lived during that time. It covered politics,economy, culture and many other aspects. As the development of the newspaper, thesupplement of the newspaper also became rich in content. At first, there was noindependent supplement. It was not until1928, did the word “supplement” appear onthe newspaper. From1928-1931, the supplement of Binjiang Times paid great attentionto the women. It published a number of articles about women.This paper mainly talks about the contribution that the supplement of BinjiangTimes(1928-1931)made to the Women’s Liberation of Harbin. By making use if thecopies of the newspapers which are stored in Harbin Library, it mainly talks about howthe supplement of the newspaper spread the thoughts of the women’s emancipation.Based on the analysis of the copies, this paper tries to conclude the contribution thatthe newspaper made to the spreading of the thoughts of the women’s emancipation.
