As one of the private newspapers of Harbin in the 1920 s and 1930 s,Binjiang Times survived the Northern Warlords, the Kuomintang, and the Japanese Puppet Army for 16 years. This is rare in modern Northeastern private newspapers.Every political change is accompanied by changes in the environment of speech. This article selects Binjiang Times, which was established six years before and after the establishment of Japanese puppet regime in 1932,to study its political news reports, especially the political reports related to Japan.Over time, the 1932 Harbin Depression was used as a time-separation point to study the content of newspapers in the two periods from 1928 to 1932 and from1932 to 1934.
