Informatization is the world development trend and an important force in promoting economic and social change. Information of water conservancy industry is very rich. The construction of water conservancy projects, the development, utilization, configuration, conservation and protection of water resources cannot leave the relevant data for all kinds of water conservancy information to analyze and process. As one of the modern water network construction of six major projects, water conservancy informatization plays an important role in the construction of water conservancy demonstration province. The Research and Implementation of the Geographic Information System for Water Conservancy of Shandong Province is to build water conservancy geography information system platform and software framework, load the existing hydraulic static data, and provide a unified space geographic data standards and development platform for the future of the construction of water conservancy geography information system.Firstly, this thesis bases on the discussing of GIS system for water conservancy industry, analyses the data, functional and performance requirement.According to the requirement analyzing, this thesis gives the system architecture design. Based on the system requirements, this thesis puts up the system design goals and principles, and then discusses the technology structures. Technical architecture mainly considers using component technology to realize the basic module reusability, flexibility, openness and scalability via SOA architecture ideas.Following the architecture design, this thesis particularly designs this GIS system. Using UML unified modeling language (UML) and object-oriented theory and method, the entire modeling process adopt from the real object to a data object, from logical to physical storage structure and technical route from data stored in the business application. According to the characteristics of different data types and the need of application, database establishes a practical and effective data acquisition, processing procedure and specification. Subsystems of module design introduce main frame module, function module, system configuration module and data control module, and describe the subsystem function demand and function module, and discuss the relationship between the main program modules.Then, this thesis introduces the realization of the system main interface. Query functionality to reservoir as an example, this thesis introduces the interaction between the system calls at the front desk and backstage inquiry function, and introduces the realization of the corresponding relations between users and roles, using the real data on the system test and record test results.At last, this thesis introduces the application of the GIS system, and proposes an advice for further improvement.In conclusion, based on the business requirements and GIS ideas, this thesis implements the GIS system for water conservancy industry of Shandong Province.
