Research On Test Method Of STB Middleware Based On Storm

Software testing is important in software development process and it’s the main way to ensure the software quality. Now the manual test is still the main method of software testing, automation test has not been widely used. Automated testing tools greatly improve the efficiency of automated test, reduce the manual testing of human resources, and make the test work forward to automatic mode.This article mainly analyzes the automation tool Storm’s architecture and testing framework. Respectively analyzes each module of the server and how to realize the Storm on the server side. The core of the Storm test module is OCR. Each module is responsible for different task to realized Storm test. This paper, analyzes the client’s system framework design. The Test case module separated with other modules simplifies the complexity of the writing of the Test scripts and realize the resources to reuse. The log generated in a web log file, each step of the results have showed that can quickly locate the bug occurred location and improve the efficiency of test.This paper improved the core modules of Storm which is recognition and image recognition module, as OCR module is used to identify the text or image in every step of the process in test, which can determine the test of each step, is to achieve the desired results. Recognition module works not ideal will has a great influence of the test. This article realizes some improvement methods based on the previous test of character recognition method, include completely string comparison, part of a string comparison and image comparison method. By this method, the recognition rate has been improved and test work has greatly improved.Automation test is applied to assist in the process of regression test and function test. It can reduce the repetitive work of manual test, implement some difficult work. This technology is the great breakthrough in the process of testing, Test automatic is the development trend of testing work.
