Design And Implementation Of ZigBee's Self-ordering System

With the continuous development of social information realization, wireless ordering system has become one of the key factors for enhancing the quality of catering enterprises. Currently, the wireless intelligent catering service system which is used more frequently on the market is based on PDA and802.11b Wireless Local Area Networks. This way need special training to waiters and it will waste lots of time. ZigBee technology is a kind of low power consumption, low cost, low complexity and two-way wireless communication technology. It can provide a good solution for wireless ordering system.The subject designed and implemented a wireless order dishes system which was based on ZigBee technology. The whole system mainly consists of three parts:the backend server, coordinator module and the terminal module. The most important part is terminal network which includes coordinator and terminal module. The terminal device adopts ARM microprocessor as the control center and hardware platform is builded through expanding FLASH, SDRAM, touch screen, ZigBee wireless module and so on. On this basis, I need to do Linux OS transplantation and design user graphical interface with Qt application software. The ZigBee nodes communicate with ARM through UART. The center of the network node is coordinator which is used to implement the data transmission between the Internet and ZigBee wireless network. When users start a order operation, the coordinator will receive the menu data and send it to the backend server through Internet. The backend server is responsible for data maintenance and management by dealing with received data.The wireless order system discussed in this has the features of Compact structure, excellent reliability, perfect function and so on. It has certain popularization value and application.
