Expo is known as the Olympic of the economic, technological and cultural fields, which countries in the world to showcase their social, economic, scientific and technological achievements and prospects of the event.2010Shanghai World Expo is another global event following the2008Beijing Olympic Games which is hold in China,"Expo" has become the focus of a2010media keyword. Not only the traditional media and new media combined with reporting the Expo, but also the simultaneous release of the "Expo Weekly". This journal is the only one national multi-lingual journal, including Chinese, English and Japanese three language versions. The magazine issued with the opening of the Expo, which ceased publication with the closing of the World Expo, it can be described as a special issue dedicated, which tailored for the World Expo. The magazine is closely connected with the Shanghai World Expo and the Expo-round coverage.Through reading25periods of "Expo Weekly," analyzing how the magazine is present the Shanghai World Expo, how to construct the city’s image and even the national image of China. By means of Lasswell’s5W propagation mode propagation analyzing from its subject, content, media forms, audiences, and dissemination of results-depth understanding of the magazine. To some extent,"Expo Weekly" is a reading with promotional in nature, with a certain ideology in the dissemination process. Then,"Expo Weekly" to the audience exactly what you want to spread is the spread of whether the content has value, that is the main content of this paper.The article use the empirical research with methods of text analysis and content analysis, digging out deep content "Expo Weekly" behind it presents to the public a pack of Expo peaceful scene. Checking standard of one-sided reports reflecting communicators are biased. Content and form of reports are dislocated, the venue construction, hard targets urban economic development as the ultimate indicator pursuit, contrary to the "City, Better Life" theme. Expo publicity ignores the main city life and the feedback of the audience. Communication channels are blocked. In this construction the city center filled with doctrine, how to properly deal with consumerism and rational face to face sub-projects is worth pondering.
