Wireless sensor network is an important tool of battlefield information acquisition. Real external field experiment mode is popularly used to evaluate the performance of wireless sensor, which has some drawbacks such as long circle and expensive costs. The virtual battlefield simulation is a technology that builds model of battlefield object in order to simulate real battlefield. It can simulate the real external field experiment to test the effectiveness of the sensor, and provide an experimental platform for data fusion algorithm research. In this thesis, the research of the virtual battlefield simulation system is based on wireless sensor technology and virtual battlefield simulation technology. By creating the modeling virtual battlefield environment and virtual sensors, the virtual battlefield simulation software is developed. Meanwhile, a series of open interfaces are defined in the simulation system so that the wireless sensor model and data fusion algorithm can be validated. The main work of this thesis is as follows:1. A simulation system of virtual battlefield environment is implemented. This system contains tank model, armored vehicle model, truck model, and Battlefield road model. The simulation experimental results of these models are given and analyzed.2. in this simulation system, the sound sensor, magnetic sensor, and vibration sensor are modeled according to the related theory analysis. The model interface and the parameter setting interface of three sensor models are defined, so that the simulation system can evaluate the performance of these sensor models.3. An open interface for data fusion algorithm assessment is described in this simulation system. A classification algorithm of military vehicle is presented based on multiclass SVM algorithm. The feasibility of the data fusion algorithm interface is verified by calling this multi-class SVM algorithm.
