As the virtual experiment technology matures, people realize that the virtual laboratory has an irreplaceable research value in the field of education. On the one hand, the virtual experiment technology will help the universities’scientific research work, on the other hand, the virtual experiment technology in experimental teaching has the characteristics of high efficiency, easy maintenance, remote teaching, interactive, and many other features. The3D virtual physics laboratory provide physical experiment operators with an immersive experimental environment, making some dangerous experiments to be carried out safely. Those experiments are explosion, high voltage, strong corrosion resistance etc. In recent years, establishing some suitable virtual laboratory for themselves’needs become the key research project of many colleges and universities.An important part of software development is the interface, a good interface even can affect the decision of it’s popularity. The master of famous game development, bill walker, once wrote an equation on game design:products is interface plus element. It can be seen that interface design is of great significance for software. How to design and implementation a friendly, fun3D virtual physics laboratory software’s interface is the purpose of this paper.This article uses the Delta3D engine to develop the platform, and the interface of the platform are developed by the CEGUI game interface development library that adopted by Delta3D. The biggest advantage of CEGUI is making the interface development separate from the development of other function module. This article is just based on this idea, independently developing the interface function of the virtual laboratory. Based on the basic principles of interface design, and the theme of physical laboratory as a3D virtual education games, this paper programming to realize the GUI. The interface has a characteristics of universality, after slightly modified, it can be used as other types virtual laboratory’s GUI.In the last chapter of this paper, we show these interfaces of the application. And the interface has the value of scientific and practical. The research significance and the application prospect of this platform are very strong, it can be used as a basic physical experiment simulation, or used as scientific experiments. The platform provide users with the cognition of physical experiment, and popularize the physical experiment education. The advantage of the virtual laboratory well solve a lot of practical difficulties:the college is out of fund for experiment, the experiment equipment quality is bad, the experiment quantity is limited, slowly renewal rate, etc. Because virtual laboratory has the characteristics of low cost, remote guide and standardize the experimental steps,it has been welcomed by the domestic and foreign scientific research team.
