Design And Implementation Of Material Management System Based On ERP Management Technology

Materials management is a key part of daily production and operationmanagement in enterprises or businesses, as well as a subject of planning, organizingand controlling for behaviors of enterprises or businesses in purchasing, utilizing,reserving needed supplies and so on. Although material management in enterprises orbusinesses is so important, by the influence of the traditional plans in the domesticeconomy, in a very long period of time, the material management pattern ofenterprises or businesses in China has been deeply branded with the "plan" signs. It isof common occurrence to purchase unlimitedly, procure untimely, price unreasonably,operate in black-box and so on. For a variety of reasons, many links in enterprises orbusinesses is still in manual operation level. With additional layers of managementprocedure, it results in the low efficiency of the existing material management, whichis unable to meet the developing needs in contemporary enterprises or businesses.According to the situation, the paper put forward the material management systembased on ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), which aims to resolve theshortcomings of the links in material management in enterprises or businesses andpromote its efficiency.The system is adapting the B/S (Browser/Server) mode, designed andimplemented based on ERP management technology thoughts. This paper begins withdescription of the whole system function, introduces four main functions availableinvolving in the system. And it stipulates the performance of data precision, timecharacteristics and maneuverability and makes a structural design after that. There aredetailed modeling and graphic descriptions in each structural design, includingfunctions, data, behavior, system structure, and so on. Finally, it describes the functionof each function module realization process in detail, and evaluates the operationresults. On the design, analysis and evaluation of the material management systembased on ERP management technology, it reveals that the system can solve theproblem aroused from the material management links, thus promote the efficiency ofmaterial management.
