This paper seeks to analyze the status of health communication on Weibo, and provide some advice to improve the effect of this affair.Weibo has huge database that provide an outstanding foundation of the study of health communication. From demography sense, accounts of health communication on Weibo dense in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and other first-tier cities and developed provinces such as Zhejiang. In terms of sex ratio, the male is far more than female of bloggers. The distribution of fans and contents of Weibo accounts are showing the characteristics of "less at both ends, more in the middle". The contents of health communication on Weibo are given big priority of health knowledge, combined with the work dynamic of health care industry, health status, health policy and medical news, etc.For the purpose of this study, the whole medical workers shows a strong influence, government officials wins second place, Government agencies relegates to the third.Health communication on Weibo has features such as subjects-various, content-rich, spread-quickly, and high-teck. It takes effects though releasing health informations. It also exists many problems, like government-absence, false and redundant informations, pseudo expert,ect. We should take action to improve such situation. The authority, media, the public should do their proper share. The Predictably, Health communication on Weibo could paly an increasingly important role on improving the health status of the entire nation in the future.
