In the process of modernization, strip product line in addition to have thecharacteristics of the high speed, high quality, high precision, also has theadvantages of automatic, high degree continuous, product machining process ismore efficient, however, the production process is hard to describe with accuratemathematical expression, at the same time the risk in the scientific experimentsis also bigger, and the workload for the operators of the scene in the process ofactual operation is big and more onerous.With the progress of science and technology, many researchers have usedthe finite element simulation technology to research the strip rolling, analyze thecomplex deformation mechanism of strip rolling, the metal flow, deformationlaw, however, finite element analysis software itself requests users to have solidtheoretical knowledge, so the appropriate process model of simulation can befinished very well. The model established and the results of informationprocessing in this paper are very complicated processes. At the same time, thetedious design task process of whole simulation, too much repetitive work andtime-consuming are not conducive to rolling products research and developmentand test, and limit the development for finite element analysis software widelyused in each enterprise. In order to solve the problem, this article was based onAbaqus software, combined with object-oriented python language, used thesecondary development function, wrote a specialized simulation platform ofsteel rolling for hot strip mills finishing process. Using this platform, users onlyneed to input the initial parameters of the roll and rolled piece and the workingparameters, such as, thickness, width, length of the strip and rolling reduction ofthe each passes, roll speed, strip velocity, friction coefficients etc, can establishmodel analysis and view the simulated results automatically, get the result of thestatic and dynamic characteristics, analytical steps are greatly reduced, finishingsimulated platform of steel rolling in this paper using the finite element methodis effective to ensure the design calculation accuracy of the process, improves the reliability of the strip steel products, simplifies the analysis process, at thesame time, avoids repetitive work in the process of analysis, makes the analysisspeed greatly ascend, shortens the strip steel product development timeeffectively.In this paper, the concrete research contents are as follows:1) This topic was based on a large domestic steel strip finishing mill groupon the basis of the actual production data, used hot strip mills principle offinishing rolling, used Abaqus explicit rigid-plastic algorithm simulation,finishing rolling model was set up, which is seen as the basis model ofsecondary development.2) Studied the Python language and finite element analysis softwareAbaqus scripting connection technology, learned relationship between kerneland usergraphic interface communication, used the Python language and AbaqusGUI toolkit to make a secondary development of Abaqus.3) Combined the Python programming language with Abaqus software toestablish the typical finishing rolling process of strip rolling script file, appliedthe Python language and finite element analysis software Abaqus to write theuser graphical interface, developed a simple, practical, reliable finishing processof strip rolling simulation platform.4) Selected different working conditions and rolling schedules of a certainsteel mill, different specifications of the products were simulated.
