| As one of the most significant testing tools, eddy current displacement sensor attracted more and more attention with low cost, pollution-free, non-contact, good reliability, and high sensitivity, etc. For the traditional sensor designers, a lots of physical experiments are needed to test the performances of the sensor with different structure or the samples with the different material properties, which takes a lot of time and make the cost higher. Finite element method, as one of the popular numerical simulation methods, can greatly shorten the product designing time. However, it requires high capability to use commercial finite element software, and the present commercial software on FEM can effectively, deal with the general engineering problems, it is necessary to do further work to make the present commercial software available in solving the specific problem.In order to meet the challenge of the increasingly market demand and speed up the development of eddy current displacement sensor, this paper tries to explore a simulation software dedicating to eddy current displacement sensor based on the finite element simulation method for different types of eddy current displacement sensor. The main work of thesis is as follows.(1) The author classifies the general structure and methods of installation based on full comprehension of the working principle of the eddy current displacement sensor. And put forward a general finite element simulation method. Taking the eddy current displacement sensor with full metal cover as an example, the details of modeling method were also introduced here.(2) The demand of software for eddy current displacement sensor is analyzed in this paper. An user interface of special simulation software is established based on VC + +, the connection with ANSYS APDL is realized via process creation, the software can invoke the ANSYS, then simulate and save the results of calculation automatically after the user input essential parameters.(3) The performance of the special simulation software and the accuracy of the simulation results can be tested by setting up an experimental platform. The test results show that the special simulation software can simulate the performance of different types of eddy current displacement sensors. Finally, the eddy current displacement sensor could be optimized with the help of this special simulation software.(4) The simulation analysis system in this paper is suitable for the eddy current displacement sensor, practice has proved that the working efficiency of sensor designers be improved significantly by using this system, it is an effective attempt on the secondary development of ANSYS. |
