With the expansion of urban city scale, the number of the public lighting equipments are rapidly increasing year by year, which makes the problems of low energy-using ratio more serious, the wide application of new energy-saving lighting equipment, however, will be a long time coming, the public lighting equipment management needs to be improved to increase the energy-using ratio of public lighting equipments, such as to control switch device based on the environment. This paper studies the control of public lighting equipment based on GPRS communication terminal and the multi-sensor array.This monitoring communication terminal consists a network systems based on GPRS wireless communication and power line carrier communication, it used monitoring stations and a single lighting layer structure model with remote telemetry and remote control function and then it not only can set the daily routine switching lighting time according to the latitude and the longitude, but also can temporarily adjust lighting time switch according to the ambient temperature and humidity conditions. Under the guidance of functional, this paper launched the research as follows.1.The feasibility of monitoring communication terminal is analyzed and the overall program is designed, then, through comparative analysis GPRS wireless communication and power line carrier communication with other communication methods, the reason of selecting GPRS communications and power line carrier communications for communication is dissected.2.The hardware structure of the monitoring sub-station and single lighting equipment monitoring terminal are analyzed, then the hardwares are selected according to the specific service environment and the requirements, in addition the hardware circuit is designed. Finally the specific realization of each function module of the circuit is introduced with detailed analysis and the attention item paid in PCB design is introduced as well.3.The monitoring nodes and the software implementation of the single lighting monitoring terminal are discussed. And then the GPRS module to access, data sending and receiving process, the treatments of network delay and network congestion during communication are analyzed. The GPRS wireless communication and the power carrier communication protocol are designed, the method to realize data sent by a similar task list is presented. At last the calculation method of sunrise and sunset time based on the GPS latitude and longitude data and the detection method of the power parameter are analyzed in detail.4.The various methods of sensor data fusion are analyzed and compared. After that the data fusion of the multiple arrays based on multiple ultrasonic sensors is demonstrated emphatically. Finally, through the relevant experiment verify its feasibility.5.By debugging the hardware and software of the monitoring terminal, debugging process of data transceiver based on GPRS and power line carrier communication is implemented, and also debugging process of other functions of monitor terminal is done. Then, the power consumption are compared by using or not using monitoring communication terminal.Through the study of the public lighting monitoring communication terminal based on GPRS and multi-sensor array, results are achieved as follows:firstly, the supervision and management of the public lighting based on the GPRS wireless communication and electric power carrier communication are realized; secondly, the terminal not only can set the daily routine switching lighting time according to the latitude and the longitude, but also can temporarily adjust lighting time switch according to the illumination, the ambient temperature and humidity conditions; finally, theoretical research of object localization based on multiple ultrasonic sensors is preliminary finished and simple verification is carried on through the relevant experiment.
