Research On Chinese Television And Trends In The Development Of Thailand

Cultural exchange is not only the basis of stengthening the cooperation andcommunication between countries, but also the link to maintain ethnic identity.Overseas Chinese media undertakes the important task of carrying foward theChinese,shoulders the mission of promoting cultural exchange between china and theworld.Among them, the television media has gradually become an important part ofthe overseas Chinese media by virtue of wider audience, stronger reality sense thannewspapers and other print media.TCCTV is thailand’s first Mandarin Chinesetelevision station,which determines its research value.Understand its developmentsituation in Thailand can point to an area to describe the development tendency of theChinese television.Thailand is a country inhabited by ethnic Chinese in SoutheastAsia up to,where the development of chinese TV station are important.While itsmarket prospects,but the current research is less.In this paper,through finishing internship understand at TCCTV,the questinnairesurvey of audience and interviews with corporate managers,the author has carried on acomprehensive introduction for the development history of TCCTV,the columncontents,the role of promoting cultural exchanges between china and Thailand,etc.Atthe same time,the author has conducted a comprehensive analysis of the socialbackground of its development,current status and the development trends,ect.Fromthis paper,the reader can more in-depth understanding TCCTV and the whole situationof Chinese television development in Thailand.The article preface illustrates the background of the study and summarizes thecurrent chinese and overseas scholars’ research situation of Chinese media.The secondchapter expounds the significance of development of overseas Chinese to China andintroduces the development of Chinese media in the world and in southeastAsia.Through the analysis,the arthor thinks that TV will become an importantcomponent of the overseas Chinese media.In the third chapter, the main Chinesetelevision station in Thailand except TCCTV are introduced,and the socialbackground of development of chinese television station in Thailand analyzed.Thefourth chapter views the development history of TCCTV and introduces the pricipalperson in charge and column content,results of investigations about TCCTV’s presentsituation and the viewing audience areanalyzed.In the fifth capter, the futuredevelopment trend is prospected.
