In recent years, analog and digital circuit design engineers have been constantly developingand improving circuit to accommodate its increasing operating frequency. At present, China hasentered the4G era, it is foreseeable that the high frequency and very high frequency componentswill growth in high speed and thus the demand for accurate device models also will be insustained increase when related modules or system are developed by CAD software.The auxiliary Integrated Circuit, especially the design of Radio Frequency and MicrowaveCircuit is significant to electric device model construction. While the development of electricdevice software is a job of great comprehensiveness. Professional business model constructionsoftware provides integrated solutions to large-scale modeling teams, however with its longrenewal and maintenance cycle it is unable to response to customer demand promptly. With thedevelopment of device processing, the study of constructing model with quickness andaccurateness is the hot topic in the field of the electronic devices.Based on industry-standard open simulation source spice3f5, this paper designs asimple-constructed and efficient broadband RF device modeling tool, including the functionalmodules, such as quick access to model file, netlist parameters parsing, simulation of dynamiclibraries, multiple graphics display control and efficient optimization of parameter adjustment.Fitting between the simulation data of model and the measured one of device is completed bycoordinating each function modules in modeling process and the parameters of accurate devicemodel is used to assist the design of RF circuit. In view that the diversity of the size of devicesunder testing in the same device model, the file access module is implemented for efficient accessof different DUT data, which supports the persistence of data from the input of users, theoperation marks and intermediate processing results such as graphical elements information, etc.Parsing parameters module is designed to extracting of parameters from the direct definition,sub-circuit and models in the equivalent circuit netlist which is transformed to conducive tosecondary input. The simulation module which based on the mature open source spice3f5couldexchange data with the modeling tool through dynamic library and analysis the simulation result.The graphic interface is necessary for qualitative analysis in the process of modeling, based on thedouble buffering technology, the Smith impedance chart is developed and the function such as theregional and rolling amplification, the nearest point locating, etc. The parameter adjustmentmodule could analysis the simulation and measured data quantitatively by collaborating eachmodule through the dynamic parameter regulator. At the same time, the efficiency of modeling is guaranteed with the use of multi-threading. Finally the testing and analysis are carried out in eachmodule and a whole process of parameter extracting and optimizing, which repairing some bugsand optimizing the key aspects which affects the modeling efficiency.The construction model tool with efficient model file access, multiple graphics control andhighly accurateness not only meets the basic needs of device modeling and improves modelingefficiency, but also shows great value as a reference for the development of specializedsimple-constructed device modeling software in future.
