Design And Implementation Of Routing Protocol Visual Simulation Platform Based On NS2

With the development of science and technology constantly, the scale of network is expanding, the technology of network renewing continually. In the condition of this environment, more and more researchers like to use the method of simulation. NS2is a network simulate software that have a lot of users and most popular in researchers. When NS2is more and more popular, it’s disadvantages were focused on some researchers.NS2have many content and difficult to learn, which become the block of learn NS2for beginners.This paper is designing and implementing the routing protocol visual simulation platform based on NS2through analysis disadvantages of NS2, including simulation of routing protocol mainly. The Platform for the users who is beginner and don’t need to understand mechanism of NS2deeply.Implementation of the simulation platform using JAVA language which proposed from this paper. Implementation of friendly visual interface using Eclipse RCP and WindowBuilder. Implementation of remote simulation using technology of JAVA remote method invocation(RMI). The platform integrating three kinds of analysis tools as Awk、Gnuplot and JFreeChart. Awk can analyze data and extract data which user required. Gnuplot and JFreeChart can implemente graph describe of data and generate curve graph. On this simulation platform, users can build the network topology and scene conveniently、easily and efficiently. At last, simulating AODV and analysis it’s performance using the simulation platform, S-EAODV was proposed in allusion to AODV’s disadvantages, simulating and comparing them performance using the simulation platform.Through the simulation platform, beginners can relief from complex command and a lot of content. Users can complete writing and execution the simulation script using the visualization simulation platform designed from this paper. users can use these tools to analyze data through some analysis tools integrated by the platform. This paper solves the problem of NS2installation difficult, because the paper designed the remote simulate module. The simulation platform integrating simulation and analysis which designed from this paper. Suitable for the beginners and general researchers using perfectly. This paper provides a new idea for the development of visual simulation platform.
