As spectrum resources become increasingly scarce recently, the cognitive radio is regarded as the key to solve this problem, which is the hot spot in the field of wireless technology research. The basic idea is to maximize the utilization of spectrum while do not cause interference to primary users. Now the research of cognitive radio covers all aspects of wireless field, from the performance of algorithm to system architecture, more and more people know that it may bring an unprecedented change.In the field of the structure of cognitive radio system, referring to the results of the existing wireless networks, cognitive radio network adds the functions of cognition, carry out the new design and strengthen the entire system frame. In such a new network, user will be able to increase the utilization of spectrum to a large extent and against the impact of the time-varying spectrum. The content of the thesis is focus on the route problem of cognitive network and the network architecture based on traditional networks.The thesis first introduces the relevant development of cognitive radio networks now, comparing several typical network architectures, and then describes the status of its network routing studies, also with the study on network simulation platform. It makes the research in an overall angle with all aspects of cognitive radio network, so it is a tentative work.Specifically for the current situation in route studies, the thesis proposes a joint routing and spectrum allocation algorithm in second chapter, and makes a detailed description of the each part of the route in accordance with the way of protocol. This is mainly aimed at the characteristics of dynamic spectrum networks, designing a new routing method, and allocating the spectrum in the routing process.In the third chapter of this thesis, an in-depth research has been carried out in the maintenance of routing process, which is based on game theory to make allocation of spectrum. It either can be considered as a specific operation of the routing protocol which is propose in the second chapter, or as a separate research content independently. The simulation, which designs the user behaviour and the utility function, make a quick recovering from the disruption due to the emergence of the primary user.Chapter IV of this thesis is mainly on the software implement of the architecture of the cognitive radio network, which simulate the communication and interaction between the different layers. In the distributed system architecture, it follows the research results of basic self-organizing network to make functional design and feasibility analysis, and makes statistic to the entire system, showing the good gains from the cognitive radio network in the system point.
